No See 'Um Screens
Thursday, November 19 2009

We have added a new screen to our land of options. This screen has been designed to allow more light into the home, increase the air flow and will provide a clearer view from inside and from outside looking in. We will be sending out more information about these screens soon, stay tuned!

Why own a “No See ‘Um” Screen?

  1. Invite more natural light into your home
  2. Enjoy more fresh air indoors
  3. Creates a clearer view for your enjoyment

Construction

The Ostaco “No See ‘Um” Screens are hand crafted using a tightly wound, highly elastic polymer. The material is thinner, almost half the size regularly used in a conventional screen. (photo is shown at 5x magnification)

The screens are built using  Fluoropolymer, PDVF which is a high end coating that allows for resistance to moisture and heat. This coating is also highly elastic, and has “memory” to prevent sagging over time.

The Proof is Clear

The view from outside in, and from the inside out of your home is dramatically enhanced when the Ostaco “No See ‘Um” screen is in place. This is a side by side comparison of a conventional screen (left), and the No See Um screen (right). No only is the light improved in the No See Um screen but also the view becomes a lot clearer

Tried and True

The screens have been fully tested to meet and exceed industry standards. During these tests it was discovered that over time the “No See ‘Um” screen maintains it’s strength, better than standard fiberglass screens.

Air flows  up to three times easier  through the “No See’Um Screen than a conventional screen, helping to lower your summertime cooling costs.

This chart illustrates the improved airflow of a “No See ‘Um”  Screen (blue) compared to a conventional screen (black).

*The “No See ‘Um Screens”  are recommended for normal, large and extra large windows, but are not recommended for patio doors.  (They are so clear that people have a tendency to walk right through them!)
